Prenuptial Agreement
A prenuptial agreement sets out how a couple's property will be divided if the relationship ends, and what stays with each partner. Under Israel's Spouses (Property Relations) Law, the agreement must be approved by a court, a religious court, or, before the wedding, by a notary.
When should you contact a lawyer?
- Before marriage, or before moving in together.
- One of you owns an apartment, a business or expects an inheritance.
- It's a second relationship, with children or property from before.
- You want to change or update an existing agreement.
